Actively Managed Etf

What is an actively managed ETF? How is an actively managed ETF different from a mutual fund?

An actively managed ETF, or actively managed exchange traded fund, in many ways acts like a mutual fund yet can be bought and sold more easily over an exchange. First introduced by Bear Stearns in 2008 with the “Current Yield Fund,” the actively managed ETF invested in short-term, fixed-income securities like government bonds.
